The Department of Bio-Medical Engineering at Rajiv Gandhi College Of Engineering is dedicated to advancing healthcare through technology, innovation, and interdisciplinary engineering. The department integrates engineering principles with medical sciences to develop diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring systems used in modern healthcare.
With access to well-equipped laboratories, advanced instrumentation, and experienced faculty, students receive hands-on training in medical electronics, human physiology, medical imaging, biomedical signal processing, biomaterials, and hospital equipment management.
The department focuses on enhancing students’ ability to design, analyze, and maintain biomedical devices that play a crucial role in today’s healthcare ecosystem.
B.E. Bio-Medical Engineering is a 4-year undergraduate program designed to produce healthcare technologists who can create and manage engineering solutions for medical applications.
The programme blends mathematical, engineering, biological, and clinical sciences to prepare students for careers in hospitals, medical equipment companies, research laboratories, and healthcare industries.
Students gain deep insights into anatomy, physiology, medical instrumentation, prosthetics, medical imaging, biosensors, and advanced diagnostic systems, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to improving human health and medical outcomes.
